Tracks: Practices
Room: Monterey 2/3
Nearly 100% of employers have said that soft skills are important. Many times, these skills are described as being even more important than hard skills. The challenge—nearly half of new employees fail within 18 months, with 89% of these failures citing lack of soft skills.
Soft skills can be learned. By embedding these in-demand skills into the flow of work and considering each of the 5 Moments of Need when designing onboarding and training programs, we’re able to help employees operationalize these skills and enhance actual on-the-job productivity.
In this session, you will learn:
- How you can boost employees’ soft skill aptitude, hand-in-hand with productive work
- How to apply each of the 5 Moments of Need to developing soft skills
- Why embedding soft skills training in onboarding is essential to reducing churn
