702 Experience a ‘Mentoring Mixer’ to Transform Your Organization’s Mentoring
1:45 PM - 2:45 PM ET
Tuesday, November 8
Tracks: Leadership
Those seeking mentors often do not know where to find willing candidates, especially outside their supervisory chain or immediate work area. How does a person find a mentor? Our solution is a “mentoring mixer.”
Come to this session to see an approach that is showing great promise, a solution that can be used in a variety of other situations. After a short presentation and discussion, you will participate in a “mentoring mixer” demonstration. Groups of three will form and rotate positions every six minutes. During the rotations, you will have the opportunity to discuss session content and your specific mentoring programs.
In this session, you will learn:
- How and why a mentoring mixer works
- A template for applying the mixer format to many different challenges where networking is needed
