Tracks: Leadership
Presenting and training offer similar challenges. When team members are moved into new situations with new audiences or technology, it can be very stressful. The typical path for learning adaptive, in-the-moment skills is to be in a situation where coworkers or clients, or even your management, can potentially witness mistakes. This does not have to be the way that adaptive presenting and training skills are gained; the ability to create flexible and adaptable presenters and trainers can be taught in an emotionally safe and stress-free way. Your team will be stronger and more flexible and will acquire skills faster if they are given the tools to gain these skills in a supportive environment.
This session will cover methods for increasing the adaptability and flexibility of trainers and presenters. Attendees will leave with repeatable, simple techniques to improve adaption skills and increase the ability of the trainer or presenter to predict potential last-minute changes or questions.
In this session, you will learn how to:
- Prepare for the five most common types of questions
- Adjust to change in presentations or trainings on-the-fly
- Modify your prep to improve adaptability
