Tracks: Leadership
In today’s VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity) world, leaders find themselves leading change on a daily basis. Many teams are on “change overload” and resist the next iteration of change. This interactive presentation uses the concept of a “growth mindset” to present change from a positive perspective that creates resilience and positive influence for the leadership learners.
In this session you’ll learn how to present change using a growth mindset with a refreshing perspective that promotes resilience and inspires the learner to want to communicate the change to the team and the organization. You’ll start with defining growth mindset. Next, you’ll explore the characteristics of a growth mindset. Finally, you’ll examine a series of organizational changes to define what was effective and what was ineffective in bringing about the change. You’ll use templates to define different personas in your organization and the growth mindset steps to bring about change. You’ll leave this session with a new framework for bringing about change within an organization that limits resistance, encourages growth, and does it in an engaging and captivating way.
In this session, you will learn:
- What a growth mindset entails
- What steps are involved in using a growth mindset for change
- How to make changes using the growth mindset framework
- How to create resilience and encourage change in a positive manner
