Tracks: Strategies
L&D professionals are struggling with compliance training all over the world. Learning needs to be smarter, faster, and better; it should also be continuous, with lower costs and higher returns. Since qualified employees are scarce on the job market and the amount of work is increasing, it is becoming more and more undesirable to interrupt work for employees. At the same time, they have to be compliant. What is needed is a way to stop disrupting the workflow for compliance training.
In this session, you will learn how to comply with compliancy training without disrupting your employees’ work by implementing workplace learning. We’ll share how, in three years, a Dutch Grid operator innovated its learning strategy by shifting their focus to learning in the flow of work. For the 1,850 engineers at gas and electricity operator Stedin, proper training is of vital importance. It means they can do their job safely. With their online “learning buddy” Yellow, employees don’t have to come to class for compliance training. This reduces the time in training while also reducing assembly errors and ensures that employees are quickly deployed. With Yellow, it feels like there’s someone looking over the shoulder of our employees and helping to answer difficult technical questions. We’ll share how implementing workflow and adaptive learning reduced costs for their L&D department as well as for their business. The business doesn’t have a gap in its planning, and the L&D department doesn’t have to facilitate compliance training anymore.
In this session, you will learn:
- How workflow learning and adaptive learning can replace conventional compliance training
- How to free your employees from required training with workflow learning and adaptive learning
- Why implementing workflow learning comes with such a big cost reduction
