Mike Ross is the chief human resources officer at Simons, a 4,000 employee retailer with 15 large-format stores across Canada. Prior to joining Simons, he was a lecturer and course designer at McGill University and the founder of Juniper, a consulting firm that focused at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and culture. As a consultant, Mike helped organizations worldwide discover and achieve their greatest potential performance by designing and implementing dynamic, creative learning experiences, strategies, and ways of working that thrive in disruption.
Mike has also served in leadership roles in the Canadian military, at a private equity fund, at McKinsey & Company, and as the head of a peace negotiations project in the Middle East. Mike also worked at eBay and as a lawyer in London, New York, Boston, Tokyo, and Mexico City.Mike holds a JD and an MA from the University of Toronto and an MBA from McGill.
