403 Build Trust Through Feedback, Coaching & Mentoring

3:00 PM - 4:00 PM ET
Tuesday, December 5

A successful leader is one who builds trust with their team. These leaders build trust over time, using essential strategies that build relationships.

In this session we will examine how and why using feedback, coaching, and mentoring are the primary ways to build trust with your team. We’ll explore the specific aspects of each of these elements, with an emphasis on increasing the frequency of interactions with staff members. I’ll explain why you, as leaders, might not necessarily know which of these elements you are using at a particular time—and how to tell the difference. We’ll also discuss when to strategically use each. The session will end with a summary of a small group discussion on which of the ideas we will experiment with back in the workplace.

In this session you will:

  • Differentiate feedback, coaching, and mentoring and understand when and how to use each
  • Identify ways to give and receive more feedback
  • Learn how feedback, coaching, and mentoring build trust
