Pamela Gonzalez-Vargas

Pamela Gonzalez-Vargas is a talent development consultant at WPS Health Solutions. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, she earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in business administration from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez. In 2021, she moved to Texas to earn her master of science in industrial and organizational psychology from Texas A&M University.

Pamela began her professional journey as the talent development intern at WPS Health Solutions, where she then transitioned into a full-time employee right after graduation. Pamela built WPS’s first mentorship program and was also part of building the organization’s first leadership development program. Pamela’s passion for leadership development led her to build the “Maximizing Your Potential” leadership series, where participants learn essential leadership skills and can gain hands-on learning experience in sessions. Pamela is also part of the leadership team for the Women in Search of Excellence employee resource group, where she serves as the engagement lead. With Pamela’s leadership and the collaboration of the team, they created a company-wide speed mentoring event in which more than 125 employees participated. Pamela’s interests include leadership, mentorship, training effectiveness, teamwork, and learning and development.
